Don’t be scared of eating healthy fats. They are absolutely essential for our bodies to function optimally.

Healthy fats include coconut oil, nuts, seeds, avocado, olive oil, grass-fed butter, oily fish and eggs to name a few.
It’s important to enjoy a range of sources as they all offer a variety benefits.

Healthy fats are important in giving your cells structure. Omega-3 fats, a type of unsaturated fat, are important for optimum nerve, brain and heart function.
If you’re not taking a fish oil supplement we highly recommend you get onto it ASAP. It’s one of the essential supps for life! (We use fish oil and evening primrose oil on the daily)

Saturated fat raises HDL (High-density lipoproteins) the “good” cholesterol that lowers your risk of heart disease. Many foods that are high in saturated fat and cholesterol, such as eggs and coconut oil, can decrease inflammation, lower circulating triglycerides, and reduce insulin due to the natural antioxidants they contain.

It is so important we do not leave out total food groups. There’s not one size fits all. We are all beautifully unique and will require different amounts of healthy fats.
