Setting our women up to finish the year strong and start the new decade stronger – with Clarity, Confidence and Focus.
Goal Setting the S.M.A.R.T.E.R way.
Sometimes our goals can be a little vague and can lead to many of us giving up when it all becomes too hard. Will power alone is just not enough.
Reaching your goals takes a strong Warrior mindset of belief and desire and this comes from knowing exactly what you want to achieve. Enter Urban Warriors!
We suggest following the S.M.A.R.T.E.R guidelines to help you to get very clear and confident on your goals:
⚡️SPECIFIC: The clearer your goals, the more powerful they become. You want to be able to see it, feel it and get emotional about it.
⚡️MEASURABLE: Set goals that can be measured. For example: Progress photos (before, during and after), body measurements, bodyweight, body fat, fitness and strength.
⚡️ACCOUNTABLE: Write your goals down. Track your progress. Share your goals with a coach, friend and supportive partner who will help keep you accountable. Remember – You are 100% responsible for your lifestyle. No excuses!
⚡️REALISTIC: Make sure your goals are attainable and then sustainable. (Anything Is Possible!)
⚡️TIME BOUND: Create a deadline to keep you motivated, not stressed. Ensure it’s attainable. If you have a weight loss goal, work out what you need to lose each week to achieve the goal by a realistic date. Preparation and organisation are crucial.
⚡️EMOTIONAL: Goals give you direction. They are the road map to your success, but it’s the emotion, the burning desire, that will drive you, motivate and empower you to succeed. Dig deep and find your ‘WHY’ – when you get down to your ‘Why’ – that will change everything.
⚡️REVIEWED OFTEN: Setting big goals doesn’t always go exactly to plan. We hit obstacles and roadblocks. It’s all part of the journey to success.
If/when this happens, you may have to ‘course correct’ or change direction with your goal. It doesn’t mean your end goal changes but how you get there may need some adjustments so it’s always important to check-in to make sure you’re on track.
